The Big Five O

This morning as I headed to the gym I really struggled with what I should do once I got there. I had felt a few twinges in my knee as I slept last night, so I wasn't sure if I should run as I originally planned. In addition, I will be in New York City tomorrow and Wednesday mornings and am thinking of running the Central Park loop once or twice. But by the time I got the gym my knee felt perfectly fine. Thus, I decided to knock out my weekly long(er) run, adding five minutes to last week's and running for 50 minutes at 7:30 pace. The run felt GREAT, and I think I figured out an awesome way to pass the time on longer runs—watching famous distance races on YouTube. Today I watched the 2012 Olympic 10,000 and 1,500 meter finals. The list of famous races I can watch is nearly unlimited, and with the London and Olympic marathons coming up it will only grow over time.
